Further Research and Planning

Education is a essential human right and is crucial for the exercise of all other human rights. It gives students freedom and empowerment and bears important development benefits, such as, gaining knowledge, finding a job, and earning an income (“The Right to Education | Education | United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization”, 2016).

It would be common for a student to come to school with many of these characteristics:
– Repeatedly thinking about experiences of violence.
– Feeling sad and scared.
– Lack of appetite.
– Headaches from lack of water or sleep.
– Lack of concentration.
– Lack of self confidence.

It is extremely important to consider the family situations of these families. Some may have lost their family, some may be separated from their family, and some may be living away from their family(“WHAT’S IN MY BAG? – Uprooted”, 2016). Students may get very little emotional support at home. The teacher could be the only supportive adult that the student gets (“WHAT’S IN MY BAG? – Uprooted”, 2016).

Allowing the girls to adapt to new ways of life and social interaction is essential:
– Provide students with appropriate responsibilities to get them involved in school life, this can improve self-confidence (“WHAT’S IN MY BAG? – Uprooted”, 2016).
– Enable students to form close relationships with one another.
– Promote creative and recreational activities.
